Iwoland in Osun State has witnessed a major celebration.
The event is the celebration of the 50th birthday and second coronation anniversary of the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I.
Prior to the celebration, Oba Akanbi stated that guests expected at the event are dignitaries such as former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo; the National Leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Chief Executive Officer of Globacom, Otunba Mike Adenuga; and the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola.
According to Oba Akanbi, others also expected at the party are President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Chairman of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola; the Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan; Haija Abbah Folawiyo and others.
Bubbly Oba Akanbi who is known for his style is fast becoming one of the most social and influential monarchs in the South West.
Only recently, he held a prayer session for President Muhammadu Buhari while he was hospitalised in London.
