Prior to emerging as Miss World in 2021, Agbani Darego had won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant.
Before that achievement, not much was known about the chocolate-complexion beauty.
However, with her emergence as Miss World, she became a global brand, living in a fishbowl, deprived of all privacy.
Promoting international brands, she was in the eye of the public but maintained a very private lifestyle. Then, without any warning, the news of Darego set to walk the aisle with Ishaya Danjuma emerged. Africa’s first ever Miss World was set to walk the aisle with the son of former Minister of Defence, Theophilus Danjuma.
The marital union, which held in Marrakesh, Morocco, in April 2017, suddenly turned her into a conservative personality, as she simply went out of radar.
Darego, who now goes by her husband’s name, Danjuma, recently resurfaced, albeit in a video posted on social media. Dressed in a short, black lacey dress, Darego looked breathtaking as she stepped out for an outing with her husband.
