Why I Shot A One-man Cast Movie- Tayo Sobola

Nollywood beauty, Tayo Sobola who is popularly known as Sotayo is set to premier the first One- man –cast movie in Nigeria-“Aba Ikilo”.
The movie, according to Sotayo; was shot in a remote village in Oyo State and was written and produced by the model turn actress herself.
The movie depicts the story of a young girl who wakes up and finds out everyone in her village have vanished. While she set out to look for members of her family and the community, she encounters horrifying experiences including losing one of her legs in her quest to find a living soul in her village.
On the challenges she faced on set, the star of “Corper Jide” wasted no time in reeling out her major challenges. “I will not shy away from saying it, I spent millions of Naira on special effect make-up, high end equipment and fees for my crew. Then, physically I sacrificed myself to the end, I worked around without shoes throughout the five days the shoot lasted. Even now I can’t walk around properly. The mental stress I put myself through to interpret the role and deliver all by myself, took a lot out of me. I just hope that at the end of the day my fans will appreciate my efforts in the movie when I take it to cinema.
