The Nigerian police have made clarifications on how Nigerians can apply for its ongoing nationwide recruitment.
According to a statement by the police, Nigerians seeking to apply must have a passion for the Force and meet other necessary requirements.
Contained in a statement issued by the police spokesperson, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
1. Applicant must be Nigerians by birth and possess a national identity number
2. Applicants must possess a minimum of five credits at O’Level in not more than two sittings including Mathematics and English
3. Applicants must be between 17 and 25 years
4. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit
5. Applicants must not be less than 1.67 metres tall for males and 1.64 metres tall for females.
6. Applicants are required not to have less than 86cm expanded chest measurement (men only)
7. Female applicants must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment
8. All applicants should be free of any of pecuniary embarrassment
9. Applicants are required to print their completed online forms, guarantor forms and submit same at the examination/screening and recruitment centers.
The police said applicants that meet the requirements from the online registration would be invited for screening at all the state commands, including the FCT command from August 24, to August 30
Further, the statement noted that physical screening and evaluation would be carried out with COVID-19 prevention protocols.
According to the police, the names of successful candidates would be published in selected national newspapers and other platforms on September 14. It said the online application would be open for a period of six weeks from 14th July to 23 August, 202 at www.policerecruitment.gov.ng.
