Afrobeat musician, Tobechukwu Ukairo popular as Dopeman Twizzy has revealed that his kind of music is unique, adding it can’t be found anywhere.
He made this known in a recent interview, urging the government to invest more in promoting the country’s entertainment industry.
“My style is Afrobeats, I say this because is rooted in African music, but my personal experiences for example; places I have lived like the UK, Canada, Nigeria, influence my style and make it unique. You can’t find my vibe anywhere else.
“As for the government, the more the country progresses in terms of education and financial equality, the easier it will be for music to travel around quickly,” he said.
Influenced by artistes such as Michael Jackson, Future and Led Zepplin, Dopeman Twizzy, who is currently promoting a new single titled ‘Solo’ said although Nigerian artistes are hard-working, he often looks outside for motivation.
The 23 years old artiste, who holds a B.Sc in Sound Technology and Digital Music from Oxford Brookes University in the UK, also has credit for other tracks such as Bumbastic, Have Sense, Tonya Tonya, Asampete, and Tonto.
