Why We Are Suspending All Protest For Now-Shiites Spokesman Explains

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) has announced a temporary suspension of its protest for the release of its leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
According to the spokesperson for the group, Ibrahim Musa, the decision was reached to give room for “some new openings” into the resolution of the matter.
El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat, have been in detention since 2015 despite a court order for his release.
Musa, had earlier said the Shiite group would challenge a court order obtained by the Federal Government proscribing its activities.
