According to Banger Dooyum, the secretary of the PDP at the Igyorov ward in Gboko LGA, Ayu’s anti-party activities were a major factor for the PDP to lose the national chairman’s ward and local government during the last election.
While reading the ward exco’s resolution, Dooyum disclosed that Ayu and his allies did not vote during the Saturday, March 18 governorship election in the state. The PDP also accused Ayu of not paying his annual dues as contained in the constitution of the party.
