Afrobeat singer, Davido has explained why he did not sing about the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke in his new album, “Timeless”.
Speaking during a press conference that held today Tuesday, April 17, Davido said that he decided not to reference the death of his son because the album was not for the purpose.
Speaking on the album being too partyish; Davido said,
‘’There are emotions but not too much emotion and if you listen to Davido music over the years from time, I have always been a happy person whether I am going through something or not. So that side of my life, if I want to talk about it, there is time for that but for this album, that was not what I was going for.’
Recall that Davido lost his son, Ifeanyi in a pool accident on 31, October 2022. He subsequently took a long break from the music scene before releasing his new body of work in March 2023.
