Empire Mate Entertainment artiste, Wizkid, has revealed why he collaborated with Afro beat king, Femi Kuti, in his song titled Jaiye Jaiye.
Jaiye Jaiye, is one of the popular songs in the artiste’s latest album tagged: Ayo.
Wizkid said the choice of Kuti was to ensure the song is more appealing to fans.
In his words “When I made jaiye jaiye, I didn’t know people were ready to accept the song, so I needed something to make it really special. I called Femi Kuti for a collaboration and almost immediately, he agreed. I was shocked. I had to go back to the studio that night to re-do the song so he wouldn’t be disappointed. We recorded it the next day and it was a successful.”
Wizkid’s sophomore album, Ayo, is currently one of the top works in circulation especially in a period when several artistes are releasing albums.
