There are indications to why the “End SARS” peaceful protest planned by musician Naira Marley was cancelled.
Recall that the musician had planned a peaceful protest for today at the second Toll Gate along Lekki/Epe expressway by 9: am.
However, the protest never held, as it was called off by the musician.
A source close to the musician revealed that the protest was called off following interventions from the police and Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sport.
According to the source, Dare calmed the nerves of the musician with his mediation to allow the government handle the situation, hence the protest was cancelled.
The source however said that the protest might hold next week if nothing is done by the government to change the situation.
