Who Will Save Mourufat Obanikoro?
Hajia Mourufat Obanikoro, wife of former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has been caught by the anticorruption fire sweeping the country.
The woman who was once questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seven months back has suffered a major loss.
An Abuja court ordered Hajia Obanikoro to forfeit a property located in the federal capital to the Federal government pending the outcome of investigations being carried out by EFCC on the financial transactions of her husband and children in relation to a $2.1bn arms fraud.
Interestingly, Hajia Obanikoro has claimed that she had bought the properties seven years before the alleged scam took place.
Already, the question of who will save Hajia Obanikoro is a major talking point at social gathering.
