This explains the mother of all wedding ceremonies recently celebrated by Jachimike Victor Ikpeazu, son of Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.
A lovely man, his father’s joy knew no bounds when he recently got married to his lovely fiancée, Thelma Chidinma Onwueyi.
The ceremony, which took place at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Umuahia recently saw the first citizen of Abia State shutting down the state for his son in an elaborate affair attended by only notable individuals.
Guests who attended the colourful and second to none shindig came from far and wide, and like monarchs, they were treated to the best of meals, vintage drinks and good music.
In attendance at the event was President Muhammadu Buhari represented by the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, and the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, represented by the wife of Ebonyi State Governor, Mrs Rachael Umahi.
Others in attendance included the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and his wife, Martha Udom, Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. Dave Umahi, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Duoye Diri, and Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed.
Also in attendance was the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and his wife, Betsy Obaseki as well as the wife of the Delta State Governor, Dame Edith Okowa; former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim; immediate past Governor of Abia State, and Senator representing Abia Central, Senator T. A Orji and wife, Odochi Orji.
The list of guests also included the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi; Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Engr. Chinedum Orji; the Chief Judge of the state, Honourable Justice Onuoha Ogwe among others.
