What Will Happen To Buhari When He Honours Invitation-Reps

The House of Representatives has revealed what will happen if and when President Muhammadu Buhari honours its invitation to address them.

Recall that the House of Representatives had invited the President for an address following the high state of insecurity in the country.

Speaking on the invitation, Benjamin Kalu, the spokesman for the House of Representatives stated that the president would not be intimidated.

Kalu made the statement in Abuja on Thursday, December 3, adding that Buhari will be respected when he addresses the lawmakers.

Kalu told reporters that the president could appear before the lawmakers on December 10 or 15, to brief them about efforts to improve security in the country.House of Reps says Buhari will not be intimidated when he honours invitation

According to him, the House had no intention of ridiculing Buhari when it invited him.

He said: “In the history of Nigeria, no president has done that. The president is going to sit with us and we will have some time to engage him. Nobody is going to intimidate him; it will be like a discussion.”

Kalu said the House of Representatives is working in partnership with the Buhari administration in the interest of the country.
