Wale Takes Swipe At Wizkid

American rapper, Wale, has refused Wizkid the credit of taking African songs to the mainstream American music industry.
Wale expressed this opinion during an interactive session on ComplexCon(versations), adding that African songs had been in the mainstream industry long before the release of ‘One Dance’, Wizkid’s collaboration with Drake.
According to him, African music went mainstream between 2013 and 2014, and Wizkid could not take credit for it.
Wizkid’s fans are known for bragging about his mainstream achievements.
