Kingsley Kuku, former Special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs
When Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was the President of Nigeria, a lot of men from the Niger Delta region lived like Kings.
For them, it was an opportunity to become filthy rich.
One of the several men who became rich and famous then was Kingsley Kuku, former coordinator of the Amnesty Programme. During his time in office, Kuku was trailed by several allegations of misappropriation of funds with no one lifting an eyebrow.
With his time in office over and Jonathan having left as President, Kuku thought all the noise had ended.
However, like a ghost from the past it is all coming back to him. Kuku replied an invitation from the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), with a letter saying he was undergoing an operation in America.
Interestingly, while very few people knew when he got injured Kuku and his friends have made sure that his picture in a certain hospital is circulated, at least to assuage the EFCC that he is indeed in hospital. Who says the storm is over for Kuku?
