Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, has urged Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka to stop criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari.

Reverend Mbaka is the Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria.

Umahi made the appeal during the annual harvest, thanksgiving and bazaar of the Adoration Ministry on Sunday, October 24.

Umahi who is the Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum was accompanied by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State to the event.

The Ebonyi State governor having donated 30m, 200 yams and 100 bags of rice during the thanksgiving service, stated that Buhari was working to redirect the economy of the nation to reduce poverty in the land.

He advised that “those elected into the position of authority should provide good governance to the masses who elected them.”

According to Umahi, governors, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other prominent people in the zone were making efforts to releas the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, from detention as soon as possible.

Fr. Mbaka supported Buhari during the 2015 election, but has since changed his stance, criticizing the Nigerian leader for the economic situation in the country.
