Actress, Rita Edochie, has revealed that some Igbo people deny their origin due to what they can benefit.
She stated this after sharing a video of a Fulani woman who denied being Fulani while begging for a Christmas gift from an Igbo man.
Lashing out at Igbos, she accused them of “denying being Biafrans because of what they stand to benefit today”.
The veteran actress also accused this set of Igbos of forgetting about what tomorrow might turn out to be, while further claiming that “their selfishness is affecting everyone”.
She wrote;
“HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT HUNGER CAN CAUSE ?
“SHE HAS DENIED BEING A FULANI WOMAN BECAUSE OF HUNGER.
“THE SAME WAY SOME OF OUR IGBO BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE DENYING BIARFA JUST BECAUSE OF WHAT
“THEY STAND TO BENEFIT TODAY WITHOUT THINKING OF WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW BUT THE GOOD THING IS, THEIR SELFISHNESS IS AFFECTING ALL OF US.”
