The event might have come and gone, but like they say the memories will linger forever.

Top Nollywood actors and actresses who stormed the pre-award dinner of Best Of Nollywood (BON), almost threw caution to the air and shamelessly engage themselves in a free for all when they were hosted on Sunday, November 17, at the Brick House River State Government House, Port Harcourt by Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

The colourful event, which is to herald the awards proper saw hordes of socialites, politicians, actresses and actors in attendance, all decked in their best.

In such an environment, one would expect fun and camaraderie, however trouble started when the news filtered in that the governor was not playing ball, and that he would not be parting with any cash inform of honorarium for the celebrities present at the event.

A mini group debate our source told us erupted, as most of the actresses especially members of the Yoruba genre of the movie industry had anticipated a windfall of cash similar to what happens in Ekiti State when an event is hosted.

Most of them we were reliably informed left the event feeling disappointed.

Some of the names at the event included Segun Arinze, Fathia Balogun, Foluke Daramola, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Bimbo Akintola, Mr. Ibu, Adaorah Ukoh, Moji Olaiya, Alex Ekubo, Elvis Chuks, Basorge Taria Jnr, Gbenga Adeyinka, Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo, Ik Ogbonna and Desmond Elliot. Other are Pat Utomi and Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji among others.
