Nigerian politician and philanthropist, Senator Kashamu Buruji has passed on.

The dark-complexioned and chubby Ogun State powerbroker died on Saturday, August 8, after losing a battle with the rampaging Coronavirus.

His death at the age of 62-years was announced by his former colleague, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce via Twitter.

Senator Murray-Bruce Tweeted:

”I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.”

Recall that Buruji had been remotely treating COVID-19 at a Lagos Isolation Center before his health situation worsened and he was moved to First Cardiology Centre, Lagos.
Buruji initially tested negative before his situation became worse, as a result of underlying conditions such as diabetes, heart and lung diseases, and high blood pressure which prevented his total recovery before his demise.

Recall that Senator Buruji represented Ogun East in the 8th National Assembly.
