Suspended lawmaker, Abdulmumin Jibrin, is no doubt one of the most criticized men in the House of Representatives presently.
It will be recalled that Jibrin, a former chairman of the Appropriation Committee, was suspended by the Federal House of Representatives for 180 legislative days following allegations of budget padding he leveled on Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, his deputy Yusuf Lasun, House Whip, Alhassan Doguwa, Minority Leader, Leo Ogor, and nine others.
However, respite came for the man when he recently won the African Voice Leadership in Legislative Governance Awards.
According to the organisers of the award, which held at the Banqueting Venue, London, Jibrin won the award for his commitment to legislative duties and fight against corruption in Nigeria.
The embattled lawmaker attended the event with his beautiful wife, Maryam.
