Pastor Adeboye

A baseless allegations is currently trailing Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The allegation is hinged on the lie that Pastor Adeboye is set to remove Pastor Idowu Iluyomade as the head of the Apapa Family of the RCCG.

According to those propagating the rumor, Pastor Adeboye wants to take advantage of the controversy surrounding Dr. Siju Iluyomade, who only recently turned 60 years old to remove her husband and replace him with his biological son.

Iluyomade, the Convener of Arise Women has been under immense pressure having suffered serious negative press, as a result of what many have termed a lack of sensitivity.

Opinions have differ on Iluyomade’s choice, but majority maintain that her decision to celebrate an elaborate 60th birthday party just days after the death of one of the biggest supporters of the City Of David (COD) in person of the late Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe, his wife and son was wrong.

Some quarters have also reported an alleged agenda by Pastor Adeboye to take over the control of the 14-storey Trinity Towers built by the COD parish and hand it over to Adeboye’s son who will convert it to RCCG Headquarters Worldwide with him presiding.

Amidst all of these negativity, reactions that have trailed these allegations have been clear, it’s all rubbish.

A pastor of one of the RCCG churches in Lagos who spoke with www.the.octopusnews.com, but pleaded to remain anonymous noted that Pastor Adeboye is focused on leading the church and not playing politics.

“You need to always look at issues critically before responding. The allegations are unfounded. Pastor Adeboye wants to take over Trinity Towers, what is that to what he has achieved. It’s all just a joke by some elements who don’t know anything.

“I can’t deny that there is politics in the church, but not with Papa Adeboye, not him,” he concluded.
