Prominent PDP Lawmaker Defects To APC

The lawmaker representing Akwanga South constituency in Nasarawa Assembly has dumped the People Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Samuel Tsebe’s defection was disclosed by the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, at plenary on Tuesday. April 13.

The speaker explained that the development was communicated to him via a letter from Tsebe.

Congratulating the defected lawmaker, Abdullahi urged him to remain focused on contributing his quota positively to the development of the party.

The speaker said: “I want to disclose to you that I have received the defection letter of Hon Samuel Tsebe of Akwanga South Constituency from PDP to APC.

“This is a new development in APC. He is highly welcomed into our great party, the APC.

“On behalf of the leadership of the House, I wish to congratulate Hon Tsebe over his defection to APC, I want to assure him of equal opportunity in the party.”
