Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has described the death of Senator Buruji Kashamu as a big loss to the country.

Primate Ayodele who stated this while sending a condolence message to Buruji’s family also described the death of the Senator as shocking.

Senator Kashamu died at First Cardiology Consultants on  Saturday, August 8, after a failed battle with Covid-19.

Recall that Primate Ayodele had earlier warned that Covid-19 is a leveler which does not consider the rich or poor.

“This Covid-19 will not go either today or tomorrow. If care is not taken, it may extend till next year. More prominent people will still die of the virus,’’ Primate Ayodele had said.

Primate Ayodele stated this months ago following the first case of the virus that was recorded in Nigeria.

Following his warning, there have been several high profile COVID-19 related deaths in the country including that of President Buhari’s ex-Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Senator Bayo Osinowo, Tunde Braimoh, among others.

Meanwhile, Primate Ayodele has reiterated his initial position that there is a need for the cleansing of the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock from Covid-19 to put an end to unexpected deaths.

“President Buhari should be vigilant and be mindful of the people he hosts during this period.

“Between July and August, Nigeria will lose prominent people to COVID-19.

“Buhari should minimize the way he attends to people during this time, The villa needs to be cleansed,’’ Primate had said.
