Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has waded into the controversies rocking the All Progressive Congress (APC).

In a bid to resolve the crisis; Buhari went into a closed-door meeting with some state governors elected on the platform of the party.

The meeting held in the State House, Abuja with the main agenda being the crisis currently rocking their party.

In attendance at the meeting are the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu; Chairman of Northern Governors Forum, Simon Lalong, and Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru.

The APC has been in a leadership crisis since last week after the Court of Appeal Abuja upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomole as its National Chairman.

Recall that following the announcement of Senator Abiola Ajimobi by the National Working Committee as the party’s Acting  National Chairman, Victor Giadom who was deputy National Chairman announced himself as the Acting National Chairman.

Due to Ajimobi’s ailing state, the party approved the appointment of Hilliard Eta, the Vice-Chairman of the APC (south-south), as the acting Chairman pending the time Ajimobi will assume office.
