The immediate past President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Nnia Nwodo has reacted to the appointment of new Service Chiefs by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that the President sacked the former Service Chief he appointed in 2015.

He also appointed new Service Chiefs including Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral AZ Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal IO Amao, Chief of Air Staff.

Reacting to the new appointments, Nwodo expressed shock and disappointment at President Buhari for not appointing men or women of Igbo extraction.

Nwodo said the President had once again made Igbos feels like they are not fit to serve as service chiefs.

“Gen Buhari, thanks for making us in Igboland feel, once more, that we are not fit to head any of the Security services,” he said
