In a bid to find witnesses in the suit against Seun Kuti, the Nigeria Police is seeking for witness.
Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed this when he appealed to eyewitness of Kuti’s assault of a police officer to come forward .
Hundeyin called on a man who claimed to have witnessed Kuti assaulting a police officer to come forward.
In a post shared on his Twitter handle, Hundeyin appealed to any other witness of the assault to come forward. He stated that witness protection is guaranteed.
‘’If you are the man in this video or you know him or any other witness of the assault referenced in the video, kindly send me a DM. Witness protection guaranteed. We do appreciate your civic-mindedness,”‘ he tweeted.
Recall that on Monday, May 15, the video of a Nigerian man who claimed he witnessed the singer assault the policeman on the Third Mainland Bridge went viral.
In the video, the man stated that Kuti humiliated the officer and that the officer in question should be handed his flowers as he was very patient and did not retaliate.
