Police Review Footage Of CCTV In Davido’s House

The Lagos State Police Command has announced a review of the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage in Davido’s Banana Island home in Lagos State.

According to the spokesperson of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, it is in a bid to unravel how Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke died.

Recall that three-year-old Ifeanyi was found in the bottom of Davido’s pool after he was left in the care of his caregiver.

Speaking with BBC, Hundeyin disclosed that a review of the CCTV footage was necessary to gather additional information about the incident that led to Ifeanyi’s death on Monday night

He said: “We are reviewing the CCTV cameras in the residence of Davido to get additional information about the circumstances of the death.”

“His body has been deposited in the morgue. We are in touch with his parents. In fact, they were with us last night,” Hundeyin added.

Hundeyin, also confirmed that six out of the eight domestic staff detained over Ifeanyi’s death have been released while the nanny and cook remain in custody.

“I spoke with the DPO and he said the nanny and the cook have been detained. Other domestic workers brought in for questioning were released,” he said.

Ifeanyi died days after celebrating his third birthday on October 20 with his dad and mum Chioma Rowland.
