Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi has condemned the Nigerian delegation to the COP28 climate summit in Dubai.
According to him, the vast majority of those in President Bola Tinubu’s delegation to COP28 hardly understand or have anything to do with climate change.
Obi noted that most of the summit are either non-relevant civil servants or relations, friends or hangers-ons of high government officials.
In a post shared on his X handle, Obi said most of the people on the Nigerian delegation hardly understand or have anything to do with Climate Change.
This comes hours after the presidency was criticized for taking media personality, Toke Makinwa, as part of its delegation to the climate summit.
