DMW artiste, Peruzzi, capped the year 2018 with the release of an EP titled ‘Heartwork’.
Hoping to be named Best New Artist at the SoundcityMVP, the award went to Teniola popular as Teni The Entertainer.
A vexed Peruzzi reacted with a post on Twitter claiming to be the most hardworking new artist in 2018, hence more deserving of the award.
Music pundits were quick to correct his impression, insisting he should grow his brand and stop leaning on established names and record labels.
While Teni The Entertainer dropped singles such as ‘Fargin’, ‘Lagos’, ‘Fake Jersey’, ‘Wait’, ‘Uyo Meyo’, ‘Askamaya’, and more recently ‘Case’, she was also able to create a unique brand of music for her fans.
Peruzzi on his part was known for his successes with artists such as Davido and 2Baba.
