Nigerian musician, Eedris Abdulkareem has described the 500 billion naira palliative approved by the House of Representatives for the government of President Bola Tinubu as a fraud.

Recall that Tinubu had written a letter to the House of Representatives seeking an amendment to the 2022 appropriation act to allow him spend N500 billion as palliative to ease the pain from the removal of subsidy from Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popular as petrol.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, the singer said Nigerians do not need handouts, but productivity that will lead to prosperity.

He stated this barely 24 hours after the Federal government received approval from the National Assembly to disburse N500 billion as palliatives to Nigerians to cushion the effect of the hardship they have experienced since the removal of fuel subsidy.
