Those who know the brain behind telecommunication company Globacom, Otunba Mike Adenuga will tell you that he is not a man for much festivities and celebration. In fact, when the celebration is low-key it is still likely that he wont attend except when it has to do wit business or his ancestors.
Several incidents have shown Adenuga’s disgust for the party scene, as the story of how he walked out of a shindig organised by his staff to celebrate him remains legendary.
Asides this, Otunba Adenuga has been known to shun the burial ceremonies of his in-law and friends alike. The death and subsequent burial of Akin Temple, the brother of one of his wives was not even enough to change the status quo.
It would be safe to say one of the few time Otunba Adenuga was spotted at a typical social function was when he gave out his daughter Bella in matrimony to Jameel Disu, a feat he achieved with less than two words “I Am” the answer he gave when asked who was giving the bride out.
The recent killing of the Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Investment Company, Alhaji Tajudeen Disu who happens to be Otunba Adenuga’s in-law in a land fracas in Okunraiye community near Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos has seen many pondering if the man would overcome his phobia for parties and attend the burial ceremony of Alhaji Disu.
