Ahead of the Ondo State gubernatorial election, President Muhammadu Buhari has endorsed Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for re-election, adding that he is proud of his achievements.
The President threw his weight behind the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with just days left to the election of Saturday, October 10.
President Buhari who spoke via tweets posted on his verified Twitter page said Akeredolu is a good brand for the ruling APC to market, adding that the Ondo state governor deserves a second term in office.
The tweets read: “I have no doubt that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is a good brand for the APC to market. I am particularly delighted by his ingenious approach to governance. His performance within the limits of available resources is endearing.
“Governor Akeredolu deserves to be re-elected to consolidate the good work he commenced in his first term. I am not just proud of his achievements; I am confident he will enjoy the mandate of the good people of Ondo state for the second term.”
