Afropop singer, Davido has announced plans to give out N300m to orphanages across the country.
The popular artiste announced this on social media X this afternoon.
”I and my foundation pledge the sum of Three Hundred Million Naira (N300 million) to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation .. details of disbursement tomorrow” he wrote.
The donation comes just days after Davido surprised Chioma with a Lamborghini Huracan STO as her Valentine’s gift.
Recall that in 2023, the singer whose real name is David Adeleke through the David Adeleke Foundation (DAF), donated the sum of Two Hundred and Thirty-Seven Million Naira (N237,000,000.00) to orphanages in the country. The sum was disbursed among 434 orphanages.
Two years earlier, the singer fulfilled a promise he made on his 29th birthday by donating N250,000,000 to 292 orphanages across Nigeria.
He made a personal donation of N50,000,000 and another gift donation of N200,000,000 from his friends.
