Odunmbaku Proffers Solution To Traffic, Road Network Challenges In Ojodu

Infrastructure developments persist to be stressed across Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), with the council boss, Mr David Olusegun Odunmbaku, consulting stakeholders on the replacements of Fadunsi and Adeshina local bridges as part of his administration program over the next two years.
Odunmbaku, in company of councillor Ward A, Honourable Lekan Peters, his Chief of Staff, Mr Bode Olaniyan and the Chairman Ojodu LCDA National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Engr. Rufai Abolore, went on the inspection and assessed the conditions of the bridges on Thursday, February 17. They also toured Yakoyo and Mobil local bridges.
He pointed out that improvement to bridges and other infrastructure come at a vital time.
The council would collaborate with private organisations on a Public-Private Partnership basis (PPP) to construct the new bridges. Also working with necessary security agencies on adequate security architecture of these areas.
Adeshina bridge upgrade
Upgrade of Adeshina bridge will allow the council to repair Adeniyi Oke and Adeshina Streets among others.
Fadunsi Bridge replacement
The Fadunsi bridge replacement would be a laudable project and it is expected to link the Housing Estates at the axis.
Odunmbaku stated that the bridges will be replaced in collaboration with the Community Development Association (CDAs), Community Development Committee (CDCs), landlords association, business owners, traders and all stakeholders along those routes.
The projects, on completion, will facilitate good road network, movement of goods and services, improve the local economy, properties will increase in value and overall better quality of life of residents of Ojodu and its environs.
