Stylish Customs lady, Nike Morenike Oladunni is a happy woman as you read this piece. The reason, is not far-fetched, as she is now officially married.
The chocolate-complexioned lady, got married in a colourful nuptial to her US based heartthrob Emmanuel Morris-Omorodion, last Saturday. The classy traditional marriage attracted the Oligarchy of the Nigerian society and specifically the Ondo State capital, Akure.
The nuptial, which took place at the bride’s Ala Quarter’s home, Akure was a success by all socio-political standards. we gathered, that the Benin, Edo State born, tall and strikingly handsome groom, is a consultant to a number corporate organisations in America and a Pastor, with Mountain of Fire, in Chicago.
Described as a very disciplined, simple and decent guy by his wife, the groom left no one to doubt, as to his humility.
Oladunni, a Deputy Comptroller of Customs, in Apapa, Lagos, attracted high ranking Custom’s officers, and top Clearing agent to her wedding. Some of the notable names include Assistant Comptroller General of Customs Ibrahim Mera who represented the Comptroller General Dikko Inde Abdulahi and Former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Over the years, Oladunni has become very precious to the ‘Ebora’ of Africa, as he is fondly referred to, who doubled as the father of the bride.We learnt the Nigerian leader has taken up the fatherly role since, Nike lost her father, Prince Durojaiye Oladunni years back.
we gathered Obasanjo cancelled his scheduled dinner,with the President of Ethiopia, as he flew in, from Addis Ababa, to honour Nike. The elated couple described their union as a divinely packaged one, as they were overwhelmed by outpouring of love, by family, friends and well wisher who came from far and near to share in their day of joy.
The joy of mother of the bride, Chief Mrs Margaret Oladunni and that of the groom, Madam Margaret Omorodion knew no bound, as they beseech marital bliss for their children. The Akure traditional wedding of Nike Oladunni and Emmanuel Omorodion, also had a royal flavour with the presence of Deji of Akure, Oba Adebiyi Adesida,and Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Dr Victor Adesimbo Ademefun Kiladejo and their Olori’s.
Gourmet meals was served while, the rich guest washed it down with cocktails from Labash; champagne, cognacs and vintage wines served by Ice Box while entertainment came from veteran Juju maestro, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, Tolu Obey, Mega 99, held everybody spellbound, to the delight of many,he performed to the wee hours of Sunday.
We gathered that the white wedding, between Nike Oladunni and Emmanuel Omorodion, will come up on 7th July in Lagos. The union will be solemnised at the KICC, Oki Lane, Mende, Maryland, and followed by a lavish reception, at Haven, Event Centre, GRA, Ikeja.
