The exit of Olusegun Runsewe as the Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) was without fanfare.
His friends and associates believed that the man was not given adequate time to prove his mettle in the tourism sector.
They highlighted several projects that he touched and insisted he could have done better had he been given more time to work.
Thus, their happiness knew no bound when he was announced as the DG of the National Council for Arts and Culture.
Runsewe’s achievement since taking up the job has however been few. However, more worrisome is an allegation of fraud currently trailing him.
The chubby and dark-complexioned man is currently being trailed by an allegation of a multi-million Naira fraud, as patterns of purchases and contracts awarded have been questioned by the Auditor-General of the Federation, Anthony Ayine who has recommended sanctions.
