The last days of Akinwunmi Ambode as the governor of Lagos State were indeed humiliating to say the least.
So humbling was it that the chubby checked and dark-complexioned man stylishly avoided his successor’s inauguration.
Simply put, Ambode was the lab rat used to test the prototype of a one-term governor, having been the first-ever in Lagos State.
Said to be set to bounce back to reckoning as a minister by virtue of his supposed closeness to President Muhammadu Buhari and his work in Lagos State, his cronies bragged about his return without a doubt.
Ambode’s hope was however dashed when his name was conspicuously missing from a list of 43 individuals nominated and sent to the Senate by the President for ministerial appointment.
