NNPC Increases Petrol Price To N179 Per Litre

Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has officially increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N179 per litre.
The price of PMS was reviewed from N165 per litre, and the new price cuts across all regions in the country.
According to a report monitored in Guardian Newspaper, the NNPC approved the upward review with effect from Tuesday, July 19.
In a notice to fuel marketers, the NNPC ordered a change of petrol price on pumps to the new price effective Tuesday.
This development comes after the company equally increased the ex-depot price from N148.17 to N167 per litre, leading to fuel queues resurfacing across the country, with fuel retailers adopting different price.
