Nigerians React To Video Of Soldier Chopping Off A Civilian’s Leg
The video of a soldier identified as George Onmonya Daniel chopping of the leg of a civilian has sparked off reactions.
In the horrifying video, the soldier is seen breaking the victim’s leg, dragging it off and trying to force him to eat it.
Since the video emerged, Nigerians have been urging the Nigerian Army to look into the situation and ensure the soldiers are brought to book.
“The Nigerian Army should look for this officer and those responsible for this inhumanity and bring them to book. This is unacceptable. This confirms some of the gross human right abuses and extrajudicial killings Amnesty International has been talking about and the army keeps denying.
I didn’t want to share the video, but without this video there is no amount of description that would make the world understand this.
God! This is unacceptable,” a Facebook user wrote.
