Barely weeks after popular singer Simi took a bow from being a judge at the Nigerian Idol, veteran talent manager, Obi Askia appears to be on the same path.
Questions over the manner of stress the judges of the reality show are being exposed to took centerstage recently with Simi’s exit.
Since her exit, there have been speculations about the circumstances that led to the ‘Duduke’ singer taking a bow, with many asking if it was due to personal reasons or health-related.
Organisers of the show have also juggled between female judges Omawunmi and Toolz as replacements for Simi, even as they try to carry on with the show till the finish line.
In the most recent editions of Nigerian Idol Extra currently being aired, Obi Asika looked really stressed and grey, even as viewers question the kind of care the judges of the reality show are exposed to.
Unlike in the past when Asika appears excited about being on the show and seeing quality music talent, these days, the man seems to be disillusioned Most importantly, is the light in his eyes which have gone out, like one who just can’t wait for the reality show to be over.
