Joseph Aloba, the father of late Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad has revealed why his remains are yet to be laid to rest.
Speaking in an interview, Aloba who has been severally criticised for his actions since his son’s death noted that the body of the artiste was exhumed for a reason, and that purpose must be achieved before he is finally laid to rest.
Asked about the speculation making the round about the possibility that he was a ritualist and wanted to use the remains of his son for ritual, Aloba said that those were the ramblings of his detractors, adding that he didn’t want to bury Mohbad only for people to start to ask why he buried him when the police had not concluded their investigations.
Regarding the speculation that he was wearing Mohbad’s clothes, Aloba noted that while Mohbad was alive, he bought clothes that were similar to his for him, adding that those clothes are what people are now claiming he went to pack from his son’s house.
Mohbad’s father also frowned at the fact that all the money given to his late son was being collected by his mum, stating that it was an anomaly.
