My Debut Album Will Feature 13 Artistes-DJ Cuppy

Disc Jockey and music artiste, DJ Cuppy has been speaking on her debut album.

Titled ‘Originally Copy’, the artiste has revealed that it will feature 13 artistes.

Although the body of work is not highly anticipated, music pundits would want to see why the artiste has been so excited about the new body of work.

Speaking about the album in a recent interview, the ‘Green Light’ singer said: “My debut album is about great music, my last song was ‘Jelato’ and honestly I have a point to prove. I don’t want people to get it twisted; just because I am a fun person doesn’t mean that I am not a credible musician. I haven’t been doing this for year for fun, I have art to create and I cannot wait for this album. It has 13 different artistes on it. That is 13 people who actually worked with me and think I am not that bad.”

The road to DJ Cuppy’s debut album began on October 13, 2017, when she released ‘Green Light,’ her first official single featuring Tekno.

She followed up with ‘Vybe’ on March 30, 2018. The song featured guest vocals from Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie.

On August 24, 2018, DJ Cuppy released ‘Currency’, her third official single featuring L.A.X.

Other singles released includes ‘Werk’ featuring Skuki, ‘Abena’, a collaboration with Kwesi Arthur and ‘Gelato’ released on August 16, 2019 featuring Zlatan.
