My dad wanted me to be a barber-Lace

Fans, friends and well-wishers might have gathered at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday, February 14 to sample songs from Dozage Record’s lead artiste, Lace’s debut album, but it’s not always been a rosy experience for the singer.
In a chat with www.theoctopusnews.com, prior to the pre-album listening party, the artiste revealed why his hunger to be an entertainer is deep. According to him, his father wanted him to be a barber. In his words: “my father wanted me to be a barber, but I knew I would be a musician.”
Though not in the habit of praise himself, Lace, however expects his debut album, titled Benin 2 Nigeria, “to be a mega success”.
The album features artistes such as Yemi Alade, Skales, 9ice and Flash.
Ask him about his source of inspiration and he says top Nigerian artiste like 2face and Senegalese musician, Akon inspire him as an entertainer.
Lace hopes to put his country, Republic Of Benin on the world map just as Akon has done with Senegal, and Wyclef with Haiti.
