Safin De Coque
Lovers of highlife music will definitely remember legendary musician Oliver De Coque.
His son, Safin is also walking the path that put his father in the history books of the Nigerian music industry.
The hip-hop act told www.theoctopusews.com that he wrote his first song at the age of 10, choosing to do the hip hop genre, because of his passion and love for the industry rather than money. And though he claims to have written his first song at the age of 10, he is yet to have a debut album. The reason he states, is because he cannot afford to drop just an album just for the sake of it as he would not want to rubbish his father’s name.
As to how good a rapper Safin is, he says “I am among one of the best rappers in Nigeria”.
Music pundits awaits when Safin’s debut album will hit the market, especially knowing that the same excuse is what he has been hammering on for the past two years.
