Mavin Record boss, Don Jazzy, has revealed that there is no big deal about artistes leaving his label.
Don Jazzy explained that different artistes get different deals and they can leave at any time.
“The way my record label is structured, I can give you a deal for a single, I can give you a deal for one minute song. I can give you a deal for a one-minute Instagram video that we want to do and it’s possible that that video is going to blow. It can even be a one-minute Instagram announcement. It is possible to get those kinds of deals. It is also possible to get an album or an EP deal and move on,” he said.
The label boss who has lost two of his biggest artistes to other labels, this year stated that people need to stop seeing record label contracts as a blood oath of a sort, adding that anybody can move out of his label at any time.
