Majek Fashek’s manager, Omenka Uzoma Day, has expressed his appreciation to Femi Otedola who picked the medical bills of his artiste.

Reacting to Otedola’s decision to pick the bills of the ‘Rainmaker’, Omenka said that the development was a positive one, as it takes the burden off the artiste.

Further, he said: “I will not stop in thanking and praying for Otedola for his kind gesture. May the good Lord continue to bless and keep him. The Lord should in His mercy grant his heart desires. He will never lack in Jesus name.”

Despite the intervention, the talent manager is still begging for more support for the artiste.

Explaining that Majek Fashek still need support for his feeding, transport and accommodation, he called on Nigerians to assist the artiste.

“At the moment, we still need support for his feeding, transportation and accommodation. I will be having a meeting with the medical director this Friday to know if Majek would be discharged and be coming from home or otherwise. We are looking for a place to stay should he be discharged and he needs to feed. Majek hardly eat out. I cook his food. We do not have an accommodation; we need to rent a place for him to stay and be taken care of. So, we still need help,” Omenka said.

Condemning moves by some artistes to raise funds on behalf of the reggae musician battling cancer without their consent, Omenka said: “I am not aware of anybody or group of persons raising funds on behalf of Majek Fashek. They are doing so without our consent. They have not contacted me or Majek. I don’t know what they are doing. We have not authorised anyone to do so.”
