Nigerians have frowned at the statement of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Following the shooting and killing of innocent protester at the Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday, October 20, Sanwo-Olu delivered a statement in which he declared that there have been no fatalities recorded in the gunshot incident that occurred at the Lekki tollgate.
Speaking at a press briefing this morning, Governor Sanwo-Olu said:
”Whilst we pray for the swift recovery of the injured, we are comforted that we have not recorded any fatality as against the widespread circulation on social media.”
However, the governor’s position has been frowned at with several videos of dead protesters making the rounds.
