FCMB 30th Anniversary Promo: First Draws Hold Early December



As part of activities to mark its 30th anniversary as a leading financial service provider in Nigeria, FCMB has launched a savings promotion tagged, ‘’FCMB 30th Anniversary Promo’’.

The promo which began to run in October 2013 is said to end in February 2014.

Information from the bank indicates that the first raffle draw holds early December 2013, nationwide. Lucky account holders of FCMB, including new customers who are eligible, stand a chance to take away millions of Naira and consolation prizes which range from refrigerators, freezers, generators, LCD televisions to DVD Players if they win.

Eligibility to participate in the monthly regional and zonal draws, the Senior Vice President/Divisional Head of Retail, First City Monument Bank Limited, Mr. Olu Akanmu told the Media is based on incremental balance, where customers are expected to save more than they withdraw from their respective accounts in the Bank.

Among the prizes to be won are, Hyundai SUVs, refrigerators, freezers, generators, LCD televisions, DVD Players, N1m cash prizes and several consolation prizes.

The FCMB 30th anniversary promo which has attracted thousands of new customers to FCMB, has brought about increased customer engagement activities, in all regions of the Federation. Customer fora have also been organised where the general public have been educated on the ease of account opening at FCMB and the series of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)’s new policies including the Cash-less programmes and reduced K-Y-C (know your customer) documentation requirements for small savers.

New customers have been seen besieging various branches of FCMB, making enquiries about the anniversary promo, opening new accounts, while the existing customers have responded positively in growing their savings and activities with the bank.

Speaking at the launch of the promo held in Lagos earlier, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of First City Monument Bank Limited Mr. Ladi Balogun had said “the promotion is aimed at thanking our current and potential customers and encouraging savings and financial inclusion as we celebrate our 30 years of existence as a bank. The FCMB 30th Anniversary Promo is a simple and risk-free savings and reward initiative that provides opportunity for our customers (current and potential) to own brand new cars, and other exciting but useful prizes through credible electronic random selection that would be held every month in various locations nationwide. As our retail customer acquisition begins to gather momentum at a runrate of 700,000 new customers annually, we want to provide exciting and rewarding ways to stimulate good banking habits, such as regular savings.”It was disclosed that the promo is targeted at all segments of the society across all age groups.

These include professionals, market men and women, artisans, students, workers among others who have adopted and are enjoying the benefits of FCMB’s banking products and services inherent in Nairawise, Classic Current and Savings Account, Premium Current and Savings Account as well as the Kids Account and FlashWallet accounts.

On how to participate in the promo and draws, it was explained that all an FCMB customer or account holder needs to do is to Save N10,000 in any of the eligible accounts for 30 days to qualify for the monthly electronic random selection of winners. Multiple savings of N10,000 will increase chances of qualifying for the draws.

Customers can also save N10,000 monthly incremental over three months or have an incremental average balance of N30,000 in February, 2014 to qualify for the grand draws, where the star prizes of Hyundai SUVs will be given away.
