Late Oba Abiodun Oniru Begins Journey To Final Resting Place
The chains of events that will lead to the final burial of the recently deceased Oniru of Iruland , Oba Abiodun Oniru has commenced.
According to information available to www.theoctopusnews.com and confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, the burial plans started on Wednesday, September 25.
Islamic prayers were said for the forgiveness of the sins of the deceased on Wednesday, October 25, while Thursday, October 26, saw a service of songs for the deceased monarch.
The seven days prayer of the deceased took place on Sunday, September 29th, while the 14 days prayer held today Sunday, October 6.
The 40 days prayer for the deceased monarch will take place on Friday, November 1.
All events that will lead to the final burial of the monarch will take place at the Oniru Palace, Oniru Estate.
