Nollywood actor, Junior Pope has died
According to the reports, the talented movie star whose real name is Pope Odonwodo drowned while filming at an unnamed location.
His death was confirmed by filmmaker, Sam Olatunji, who noted that the actor died with three others after their boat capsized.
*Four actors including Jnr Pope fell into Anam River on their way to location and their bodies have been recovered. What a sad day for Nollywood. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Multiple sources confirm this sad development to us,” Olatunji who shared a picture of the actor on his Instagram account wrote.
The sad news comes barely hours after he took to Instagram to posted a video of himself on a boat as they tried to cross the Anam River in Anambra State.
Captioning the video, he wrote: “See me lamenting….The risk we take to entertain you; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…. Na wahooooo Who does that ??”
The 39-year-old actor left behind three children and a wife, Jenifer Awele.
